Beach Party (EP Release)
Beach Party (EP Release)
Somewhere between the very precise surf-pop of Allah-Las and outrageous skate-punk of FIDLAR lies the appropriately named Beach Party, whose lo-fi clamor makes me long for that Nehru shirt I wore in the 7th grade. Beach Party is the brainchild of Rob Banks and James Hurst, who began collaborating only a few months ago. They teamed up with bassist Adam Arcos and drummer Nico Maccioca and have been churning out the rough stuff a song at time ever since. Like a lot of bands resuscitating this era, Beach Party doesn't seem to aspire to much more than — as their chorus shouts — "C'mon, c'mon, let's have some fun." As long as the hangover remedies work, it's hard to campaign against it.
Cherry Glazerr
Cherry Glazerr
Cherry Glazerr is an LA based band. Hannah plays drums, Sophia sings, Sean plays bass and Clementine plays guitar/sings.
Kiki Pau
Kiki Pau
Helsinki-based four-piece Kiki Pau began as a rather traditional guitar pop group in 2007 but changed their course radically right after the release of their second album. Giving up on the verse-chorus form and focusing on inner space/time-traveling were key elements that gave birth to Kiki Pau's new sound and third album, Pines. Heavy on extended guitar jams and effect-driven soundscapes, the album is made up of extended pieces that whisk the listener away on a lush, musical adventure. Download the first single, "Tomte Mars" courtesy of Spin:

Mixed by Gustav Ejstes (the main man of renowned Swedish psych-rock band, Dungen), Pines is a rewarding and exciting listen. It sits at the crossroads of classic jam-rock á la The Grateful Dead, late sixties psych-pop, British psychedelic folk, space rock and 70's kosmische musik.
Feels
Feels
Laena Geronimo's brain child. Songs written, demos recorded. February 2011 band members were sought out amongst hyper talented musically obsessed friends. By March the resulting six-piece began playing out. Citing obscenely vast influences from the smashing of rocks to Paganini violin solos.
We enjoy sunset walks on the beach, nerding out, and making people excited.
Kikagaku Moyo
Kikagaku Moyo
Kikagaku Moyo was started as a free music band with Go Kurosawa and Tomo Katsurada in summer of 2012 in Tokyo, Japan.
Wyatt Blair
Wyatt Blair
The sonic clouds above Wyatt Blair's song writting are wrapped in a bright orange wool blanket of shrinking guitar haze. He plucks and burns at his defensively crucial crossroads, then merrily shrugs goodbye to us while we approach each song's conclusion. A tasteful triumph to book end his anthems of love and mystery in unsung bleeding wrist scabs. His science is alarmingly innocent from track to track, each one allowing itself the ability to guiltlessly discern Mr. Blair's desires for affection. Desires that prove time and time again deserve unrattling.Wyatt Blair is a blessing and a curse. He's a man and a myth in the dramatically and hopelessly Shakespearian sense. A songwriter whose voice deserves to be famed. Whose twinkling veins are due for their close up. Who should be sung by farmers and car washes and gold fish. By anyone with lips and a chest cavity.
