Freedom Fry
Freedom Fry
The equation is simple - One French girl + one American guy = the band Freedom Fry (Parisian born Marie Seyrat and New York City's Bruce Driscoll). Let The Games Begin, their debut EP, is a collection of 5 songs featuring a minimalistic sound of driving beats combined with various organic instrumentation - from autoharps and ukuleles to harpsichords and dulcimers. Marie's breathy, soft, French-accented vocals combine hauntingly with Bruce's in both English and French.

Their following singles Earthquake and Summer in the City garnered rave reviews from Glamour, Les Inrockuptibles, Nylon Magazine, and American Apparel's Viva Radio blog. They continue to write songs for their debut LP and in the meantime they're releasing a steady stream of singles & videos leading up to its release.
Hotel Cinema
Hotel Cinema
Los Angeles based duo Hotel Cinema was formed in 2012 by Mark Hadley & Keeley Bumford. The two became friends during their college years in Boston and became more than friends after they both separately moved to LA. They started writing songs with the sole intention of exploring original production without any preconceived notions or expectations, and eventually had enough material to release their self titled debut EP in January of 2013. With beautiful melodies and intricate orchestration of electronic and organic elements, Hotel Cinema has crafted a unique cinematic sound that weaves in and out of reality. Making their KCRW debut only 3 days after the release, the EP has put Hotel Cinema on the radar as an emerging artist to keep an eye on in 2013.
HOLYCHILD
HOLYCHILD
"If Trent Reznor made candy sprinkles, they would taste like Los
Angeles' HOLYCHILD" - Ear Yummy

HOLYCHILD is made up of Liz Nistico and Louie Diller. In 2010 the two found themselves in a modern dance class together, while Liz danced and Louie accompanied on drums and piano. They began collaborating immediately after meeting and now make pop music to make us think.

The LA-based duo found early success in 2013 through their song, “Happy with Me,” which received over 100,000 plays in one week and got to #1 on Hype Machine’s Popular Charts. The band continues to receive local and national support, with Nylon Magazine describing the track as “mind-glowingly addictive,” Billboard grouping them in their annual “14 Artists to Watch in 2014” and LA weekly naming HOLYCHILD as “one of the ten
LA bands who are going to blow up in 2014.”

The accolades have been sweet and the pair landed a record deal with the reputable Glassnote Records early in the year. Their debut EP, MINDSPEAK, was released in March 2014 and questions society’s view of the woman from often times a sarcastic/absurdist perspective. HOLYCHILD is committed to
making their own form of music they affectionately call ‘brat pop,’ and sharing their art with the world.
