American Royalty
American Royalty
The lovechild of a studio experiment that was never meant to make it out into the wild, Los Angeles' American Royalty constructs an unlikely yet glowingly functional blend of dark garage rock and poignant electronica. This creative soundscape is topped off by the two vocal leads of Marc Gilfry and Billy Scher, whose pipes both seem to fall somewhere in the realm of where eerie and soul meet back on the other side; altogether resulting in one of the most innovative sounds to haunt independent music today.

The psychedelic blues-rock three piece has already begun making their mark on the road over the past year, turning heads in the touring circuit with their unorthodox stage set up, a penchant for sprinkling in reworked bits of both the classic and obscure, and an explosively energetic and entrancingly unique live performance.
Blacks&
Blacks&
Blacks& started as a late night living room recording project, fueled by whiskey and head-nods in the summer of 2011. Donald Eley (The Sea of Cortez) and Tiger Smith (NazcarNation, The Sea of Cortez) passed instruments back and forth while vagabond (and spiritual guide) Jutty Shark gave the tracks a Midas sheen with sun inspired vocals. Blending island pop with refined, angular grooves, Blacks& are carving out their own nook in the LA music scene. The group rounded out its rhythm section by bringing on Jutty's childhood friend Jules Bellin (POLLS) to play drums. Blacks& will be releasing their debut EPs, filled with stairwell vocals, subtle synths, and laid-back funk beats in Fall of 2012.
Hin Du
Hin Du
Hin Du, out of Huntington Beach, includes five young dudes (all 18 to 21), who are fusing garage rock and blues...definitely in a similar vein as Fidlar, Allah-Las, The Soft Pack and Surfer Blood. They have all been friends since high school ( which was only about 3 years ago for most of them), where they also launched the band as well. The band has received great support from Hurley (4-son
g EP + performing at the upcoming US Open of Surfing with Grouplove and White Arrows). Recently, the guys opened for Delta Spirit and Tijuana Panthers at The Observatory, and have also performed with Allah-Las, Har Mar Superstar, JJMAZ, Gantez Warrior and many other local standouts at well-known venues in OC and LA
