Hi People, we are very excited to announce another US party which will be the day after the Seattle WA party. This time we’ll be trekking to Los Angeles, California. The line-up for September 28th @ The Echo is Star Slinger, Jim-E Stack & Silky Johnson + special guests yet TBC. If you haven’t heard Jim-E Stack or Silky Johnson yet, listen below to these bangers. We are truly proud to have such talent onboard & with eclecticism in full effect. Jim-E Stack is one of the most inspiring house/future garage producers we’ve heard in recent years, making a lot of noise on LA’s own Body High label. Silky Johnson is also a current favourite, recently making a lot of noise in the hip-hop world. He created in our opinion the biggest track on the new ASAP MOB mixtape entitled “Thuggin Noise”. Star Slinger
Star Slinger
Star Slinger is an Electronic project created by Nottinghamshire born Darren Williams. It all started in April 2010 when he re-ignited his love for record-shopping in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The name Star Slinger was born when he sampled BT Express' instrumental B Side "Cowboy Dancer". He often names his creations with word association towards the sample he uses. Skip to August 2010 Star Slinger is also in demand with the indie community. Small Black championed his Remix of their song "Photojournalist". The blogosphere championed his Unofficial Remix of Deerhunter's "Helicopter" and has since been approached for Official Remix Work from some of his longtime favourite bands, including Broken Social Scene (Arts & Crafts) , The Morning Benders (Rough Trade) & The Go! Team (Memphis Industries).
Jim-E Stack
Jim-E Stack
San Francisco born, New Orleans living, DJ/producer Jim-E Stack is young and doing his thing. Drawing influence anywhere from UK funky to Mexico's 3ball, and house to pop, he strives to create his own eclectic brand of club music. Born James Stack, Jim-E Stack grew up in San Francisco, eating burritos, drinking 40s, and playing drums in a string of terrible punk bands. A new found interest in club music and the World Wide Web would bring him into a new class of young producers as infatuated by musical internet exploration, as they are with pushing the sounds of today's club music
