DJ Gozar
DJ Gozar
Truly falling in love with the art form as a radio DJ, L.A. native GOZAR, a.k.a. Josh Weiss, has been mixing records for listeners and dancers for over a decade. His sets are now based heavily in Afro-Caribbean sounds, full of funky indigenous tropical beats, usually flipped or remixed in some way, from Colombia, Nigeria, Jamaica, Angola Peru, Los Angeles and beyond. After living in Guatemala in 07-08 throwing parties and working on a documentary, he returned to the City of Angels to DJ, do yoga, embrace technology and enjoy the Cali sunshine. His monthly residency, SUBSUELO, takes place at Eastside Luv in Boyle Heights and focuses on Global Bass with an infusion of live music, drums and Flamenco dancing.

GOZAR has shared a stage with Quantic, Jeremy Sole, Oro 11, Brookyln's Cumba Mela crew (2Melo, Thornato & Brookyln Shanti), Canyon Cody, DJ Ethos, DJ Eko, DJ Center, Kid Gusto, Captain Planet, the Bodega crew(Panamami, Cee Brown & Melaaza), Gazoo, DJ Bennett, Glenn Red, DJ Reyes, Cheb I Sabbah, Washington D.C.'s Funk DC crew (DJ Payne, Moose & Shizon), Aceyalone, DJ Orion, Afrolicious, Bomba Estereo, the Mad Decent crew (Paul Devro & Benzona), O-Dub aka Oliver Wang and
many others.

When not playing music, he runs L.A. Creative Technologiues, a creative & mobile-focused technology consulting company which finds him working with DJs such as Tom Schnabel & Jeremy Sole as well as architecture firms, radio stations, non-profit organizations, retail businesses, restaurants, doctors, lawyers web developers, real estate agents, insurance agencies, film & television producers, writers & actors, restaurants, photographers, studios and musicians.
DJ Ethos
DJ Ethos
Born in Morelia Michoacan Mexico; Ethos immigrated to Los Angeles were he made a name for himself through commitment and on-point performances with the ethical integrity a true Hip Hop Dj should always have on stage. All this clearly rooted from his early influences of the 90′s "Golden Era"

After making local noise with his crew Semiotics and Manteca early in this new millennium; in 2004 he came into the light as part of the dynamic MC / DJ duo Jroz and Ethos. Both setting a standard in the Los Angeles underground Hip Hop scene. This opened up more doors thus giving him the opportunity to link up with one of Mexico's most influential and respected emcees by the name of Bocafloja. This solidifying his role as a member of Quilombo Arte en Resistencia and as a respected Dj in the Republic of Mexico's Dj/Turntablist scene. Before that honor he was already part of the world wide known Project Blowed, one of the most ground braking and innovative Los Angeles based crews of our time.

Since then, Ethos has worked and shared the stage with many different artist from around the world.

You can always find Dj Ethos somewhere in Los Angeles and around the nation showcasing his values through conscious selections and a classic approach.

As a dj, Gazoo has set the stage for the late, great Jimmy Castor, Fred Wesley, Shuggie Otis, Nu-Mark, Black Coffee, Gaslamp Killer, Dam Funk, Nicodemus, Toy Selectah and Nortec Collective. These opening credits reflect Gazoo's deep and varied influences; he's combined a lifelong love affair with hip-hop with an ability to spin Funk Cumbia and Global Bass. Gazoo continues to book talent for the Long Beach Funk Festival and works closely with the event production company Art Don’t Sleep, which recently brought in Tony Allen and Seu Jorge.
