Sick of all the holiday hype? Know you're going to get something crappy in the Secret Santa exchange at work, and dreading to see what atrocity your aunt puts under the tree thinking it's the perfect outfit for you? Well, for this party, Bootie promises to free you from the endless rotation of Christmas marketing and Christmas music by playing absolutely ... NONE OF IT! Not a single holiday mashup in the mix – you get to dance for hours without holiday intrusion! For this special night, Bootie LA returns to its original home – upstairs at The Echo (but the entrance will still be in the alley by Echoplex). Bootie co-creator Mysterious D comes down from Bootie SF to join Bootie LA resident DJ ShyBoy in playing a mix of your favorite holiday-free mashups, guaranteed to keep your feet moving and your bodies bouncing late into the night!!

Bootie LA
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D — and held down in Los Angeles since 2005 with resident DJ ShyBoy and dance crew R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup, and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities. Winning various nightlife awards over the years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.

Random Acts of Irreverent Dance is a radically inclusive and absurdly ambitious dance project, dreamt up in 2006 during a high blood sugar hallucination by Ramie Becker, or as she likes to call herself, the "Dance Commander"-(we humor her and go along with it, it's just easier that way). Starting out as a guerrilla dance collective that terrorized the likes of downtown LA and Hollywood, RAID soon found a home at BootieLA's weekly mashup club at the Echoplex and The Regent (Bootiela.com). Now, every Saturday, Random Acts of Irreverent Dance RAIDS (get it, get it?) the Echoplex or Regent stage and imposes their bizarre dance sensibilities on an unsuspecting crowd of BootieLA patrons. With the love and support of Bootie founders, Paul V., Adrian and Deidre Roberts, RAID continues to astound, amaze, bewilder, and delight audiences with our irreverent approach to dance-making and our gold spandexed glory. So as soon as Saturday rolls around, you know where to go. Don't fight, just feel it, and come watch us at BootieLA. Submit to the suit....the gold suit, that is.
