It’s a night to celebrate the inner nerd in all of us, as Bootie LA throws down Geek Night! Resident geeks Adrian A and ShyBoy mix and mash the best music from Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, videogames, sci-fi and fantasy, and more, all night long! Dress as your favorite geeky character or mashup a few, and get ready to get down on the dance floor! Resident dance crew R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) fills the stage with epic go-go insanity, while Marky Makeup gives your faces and bodies a touch of geek, and Shutter Tribe captures all the fun! All this, plus FREE Bootie mashup CDs for the first 100 people through the door!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D — and held down in Los Angeles since 2005 with resident DJ ShyBoy and dance crew R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) -- Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup, and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities. Winning various nightlife awards over the years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.

R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance)
Random Acts of Irreverent Dance is a radically inclusive and absurdly ambitious dance project, dreamt up in 2006 during a high blood sugar hallucination by Ramie Becker, or as she likes to call herself, the "Dance Commander"-(we humor her and go along with it, it's just easier that way). Starting out as a guerrilla dance collective that terrorized the likes of downtown LA and Hollywood, RAID soon found a home at BootieLA's weekly mashup club at the Echoplex and The Regent (Bootiela.com). Now, every Saturday, Random Acts of Irreverent Dance RAIDS (get it, get it?) the Echoplex or Regent stage and imposes their bizarre dance sensibilities on an unsuspecting crowd of BootieLA patrons. With the love and support of Bootie founders, Paul V., Adrian and Deidre Roberts, RAID continues to astound, amaze, bewilder, and delight audiences with our irreverent approach to dance-making and our gold spandexed glory. So as soon as Saturday rolls around, you know where to go. Don't fight, just feel it, and come watch us at BootieLA. Submit to the suit....the gold suit, that is.
