PART TIME PUNKS PRESENTS CRYSTAL STILTS
CRYSTAL STILTS make their long-awaited return to the PTP stage! Since making their live LA debut at PTP in 2008 (with openers Cause Co-Motion, in case any of you trainspotters were keeping track), Crystal Stilts have released two near-perfect LPs and two handfuls of singles/EPs, all chock full of mourning and dreams and dread and shine. Their upcoming PTP performance in July marks their first LA appearance in over a year, and the band come armed with a whole LP's worth of new tracks they will be unveiling! (Need names to drop? How 'bout Joy Division + Opal + Can's "Mother Sky"?)

Just citing the record labels THE MANTLES have released records on already speaks volumes about the band: Slumberland, Mexican Summer, Siltbreeze... Their garagey guitars meets C86/Creation-era keyboards make for a perfect fit with touring mates, Crystal Stilts. (Names to drop here: Flying Nun bands like The Chills, The Clean & The Bats, plus Paisley Undergrounders, The Leaving Trains and Dream Syndicate--aka Kendra Smith's other band.)

SEA LIONS, it seems, at this point need no introduction. PTP faves since their birth as a band back in 2005 (when the lads were still teenagers), and now touring the world by storm on the heels of their first hit LP on Slumberland, and in preparation for what promises to be an even bigger second. (Trust me here, I've already heard the breathtaking demos!)
