Maria Bamford
Maria Bamford
Which comedian did Judd Apatow tell the L.A. Times he thinks is hysterically funny? What entertainer starred in Target's Black Friday ad campaign two years in a row? Whose cult hit web series is being displayed at the Museum of Art and Design in New York? Which comic's CD was named one of the best comedy albums of the year by Amazon.com and one of the best comedy albums of the decade by The AV Club? Maria Bamford! That's Who!

Maria started her performing arts career in Duluth, Minnesota at the age of 11 where she starred in the Chester Park Elementary production of How the West Was REALLY Won! A short 24 years of self-discovery and secretarial work later and look at her now! Maria is the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials. She starred in the Comedy Central series, The Comedians of Comedy and Netflix's Comedians of Comedy: The Movie. She has made multiple late-night appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live, as well as not-so-late appearances on John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, Premium Blend, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and The World Comedy Tour: Melbourne 2003. She was also a regular voice on Nickelodeon's CatDog and Back at the Barnyard (in which she reprised the role of "Mrs. Beady" from the Nick feature Barnyard).

Maria's writing has been featured in The Onion, The Melbourne Age, and LA Weekly. (You can read archived versions on her site, www.mariabamford.com.) Her CD, Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome, is available on Comedy Central Records and features a bonus DVD of her web series The Maria Bamford Show.
