American Royalty
American Royalty
The lovechild of a studio experiment that was never meant to make it out into the wild, Los Angeles' American Royalty constructs an unlikely yet glowingly functional blend of dark garage rock and poignant electronica. This creative soundscape is topped off by the two vocal leads of Marc Gilfry and Billy Scher, whose pipes both seem to fall somewhere in the realm of where eerie and soul meet back on the other side; altogether resulting in one of the most innovative sounds to haunt independent music today.

The psychedelic blues-rock three piece has already begun making their mark on the road over the past year, turning heads in the touring circuit with their unorthodox stage set up, a penchant for sprinkling in reworked bits of both the classic and obscure, and an explosively energetic and entrancingly unique live performance.
Teenage Sweater
Teenage Sweater
Comprised of Mario Armando Ruiz and Michael Paul Delgado, Teenage Sweater takes over where The Girl With The Violent Arms (Ruiz's previous endeavor) left off. Both utilizing multiple synths and samplers, their sound is equal parts danceable and meditative. Sometimes, they are graced with live percussion by Starskate's Shaun Hunter, which makes for an exciting mix of analog and digital beats. Having recently released their sophomore album, they are gearing up to release a proper LP later this year, which will be following some heavy touring.

"Teenage Sweater, the project of California's Mario Ruiz and Connor Alfaro, drapes his programming pad in waterfall-like cascades of synths and reverb-soaked vocals. It's not overwhelming; he doesn't use too many elements at once, and the composition definitely falls into the category of minimal pop. This isn't Niagara, but rather one of those sexy waterfalls people are always photographing swimsuit models under, but the lyrics, about longing for the right person, present the possibility that it could be a waterfall of tears in the mirror. Either way, it's catchy, and the rest of the songs on Teenage Sweater's debut record, Kewl, fall into similar categories." --Impose
Beat Club
Beat Club
Beat Club formed in the summer of 2011 in Los Angeles as a weekly jam session among musicians Jeff Kite, Jon Pancoast and Anthony Polcino.

After a few weeks of playing together, the material born in the jam sessions began developing into full fledged songs. With influences that range from 80s hip-hop to punk rock to world-dance with psychedelic backdrops, Beat Club has become it’s own self-assured musical conglomerate.

They named the band after a German music program that aired from the mid 60s to the early 70s and featured some of their favorite artists like Ike & Tina Turner, Black Sabbath and The Rolling Stones.

Beat Club has recently finished recording their debut release at Soundscribe Studios in NYC and Chateau Trumfio in LA.
